I personally own a Blackberry 7130e and can’t say I’m SUPER happy with it anymore. When it first came out it was cool because it was a new “sleeker” blackberry, but actually it’s pretty big. I have to wear it on my belt because if I put it in my pocket I’d hear “is that a cell phone in your pocket or are you happy to see me” all day. It has some cool features, but if I could go back in time I’d get a different cellular provider, phone, and package.

Let’s talk about what I do like about the phone for second I guess:

First off it was the first Blackberry smartphone that allowed you to connect to the internet using it as a modem with your laptop. It works pretty well. It’s faster than dial-up but certainly isn’t high speed. If you’re going to use it as a modem though you need a unlimited data transfer package which will set you back about $60/mth. The Nokia e61 is a quality smartphone by one of the most advanced cellular companies on the market. The Nokia e61 combines power with functionality, certainly rivaling many phones of the Blackberry line. Generally with smart phones you’re faced with a trade off, but this phones is a solid all around choice.

It gives a surprisingly strong cell signal, which is an area that some phones built to really be a mobile office struggle. As you can see I’m impressed making is one of my better cellular reviews. One thing that probably adds to the apparent signal quality is the sound quality of the phone. It really is noticeable between this phone and some other models.
