Let’s talk about what I do like about the phone for second I guess:

First off it was the first Blackberry smartphone that allowed you to connect to the internet using it as a modem with your laptop. It works pretty well. It’s faster than dial-up but certainly isn’t high speed. If you’re going to use it as a modem though you need a unlimited data transfer package which will set you back about $60/mth.

Secondly, I really like the speaker phone feature. Only 1/2 jokingly I’ll say that the speaker phone feature comes in handy because I can sit it down on the desk when I’m on hold waiting for Blackbery troubleshooting.

Now onto the numerous weaknesses:

My first complaint is that while it is smaller than a normal Blackberry, it’s not small enough to put in your pocket, but it’s not big enough to have a full keypad or a good screen to read email on.

Also the cell phone ringtones SUCK. You can’t get real music or anything of the sort, which is really annoying. I used to have “I’m too sexy” as my cell ringtone and it was awesome. Now I have like beep beep beeeeeep beep beep, not nearly as cool.

Anyway there are better options out there then this phone. I give it a 2 of 5. If you want a functional Blackberry get one. If you want a sleek phone with some cool features and the brand name get a Blackberry Pearl.

The slide phone design is pretty cool I have to admit, but with this model, as with other slide phones, there has been some reports of durability problems. I don’t think it’s the smartest way to build a phone, but again, style over functionality. The bad part is youth are fairly abusive to their phones too. For that reason I would suggest buying little Johnny a different cell model.

The LG Venus also has a built in touch screen which even I have to admit is pretty cool. The only problem with the touch screen on this model is it’s a little finicky and complicated to navigate. The cell phone does have buttons hidden behind the slider.

The phone is a full-fledged 3G V Cast phone, so you’ll get all the usual amenities, including VZ Navigator and V Cast Videos and Music. No V Cast Mobile TV, for that you’ll need to upgrade to the LG Voyager, LG’s even-larger new touch screen phone.

Anyway at least it’s a step up from the cheaply constructed LG Chocolate, but personally I’d spend the extra money and get the LG Voyage model. Finally I give it 3.5/5.

The Nokia e61 is a quality smartphone by one of the most advanced cellular companies on the market. The Nokia e61 combines power with functionality, certainly rivaling many phones of the Blackberry line. Generally with smart phones you’re faced with a trade off, but this phones is a solid all around choice.

It gives a surprisingly strong cell signal, which is an area that some phones built to really be a mobile office struggle. As you can see I’m impressed making is one of my better cellular reviews. One thing that probably adds to the apparent signal quality is the sound quality of the phone. It really is noticeable between this phone and some other models. For a great cell phone like this it’s really too bad that the speaker phone feature sucks.

Another weakness is the ring. It uses the same speaker as the speaker phone, and thus can be a little faint. I’m terriable at hearing my phone ring so it was  big inconvenience. Another thing I don’t like, which I have griped about before is how close and cramped the keypad is (all be it to accommodate the large screen). If you have trouble using a Blackberry 7130e then stay away from this phone for that reason alone.

The best feature of this phone is the huge 320×320 display. It makes everything to read and due to a smart design it even seems to work well in powersave mode with the backlight turned off.

I like this phone but don’t love it. Using it as a PDA it’s great, as for a cell phone less so but it’s still good. 4/5 a solid score.

The Motorola Moto Q9h is a top of the line cell phone PDA combination. This cellular phone is defiantly a techies dream and is packed with features.

The biggest advantage that the Moto Q9h has over it’s competition is that it is integrated with the Windows platform.  Keep that fact in mind when comparing to other cellular telephone reviews. I personally use a Mac but still I could see how this would be a huge advantage. The phone gets download speeds of up to 3.6mbs which is pretty danm fast for something that can fit in the palm of your hand.

Another thing I REALLY like is the keypad. It’s simple, yet functional. People with bigger hands could actually manage to use something like this no problem. This is probably one of the top features I look for in a cell phone and it’s nice to see a product that actually picks up on this.

The other thing I like is the 2 megapixil cameraphone that is built in. It’s great for when you need to take a quick shot of one of life’s little moments. The Motorola  Moto Q9h comes through again in that respect.

The final feature I’ll discuss is the bluetooth connectivity. I realize this is pretty standard on high end phones these days but it works even better with the system being integrated with Windows.

Finally I guess I have to give this phone a 4.5/5. I’d give it a full 5 but hey, I need somewhere to go if something better comes along.
