Cell Phone Reviews

Blackberry 7130e

Blackberry 7130eI personally own a Blackberry 7130e and can’t say I’m SUPER happy with it anymore. When it first came out it was cool because it was a new “sleeker” blackberry, but actually it’s pretty big. I have to wear it on my belt because if I put it in my pocket I’d hear “is that a cell phone in your pocket or are you happy to see me” all day. It has some cool features, but if I could go back in time I’d get a different cellular provider, phone, and package.

Let’s talk about what I do like about the phone for second I guess:

First off it was the first Blackberry smartphone that allowed you to connect to the internet using it as a modem with your laptop. It works pretty well. It’s faster than dial-up but certainly isn’t high speed. If you’re going to use it as a modem though you need a unlimited data transfer package which will set you back about $60/mth. LG Venus

LG VenusThe LG Venus is a cool cellphone, which is no surprise coming from LG who have a tradition of style at all costs. A strategy which meets the desires of their target younger audiences. As someone who is a little older than their target I’ll do this cell phone review from my own point of view. Anyone can see how a phone looks, so if that’s what you care about then it’s easy, I’ll focus on functionality.

The slide phone design is pretty cool I have to admit, but with this model, as with other slide phones, there has been some reports of durability problems. I don’t think it’s the smartest way to build a phone, but again, style over functionality. The bad part is youth are fairly abusive to their phones too. For that reason I would suggest buying little Johnny a different cell model. Continue reading →

Samsung Sync

Samsung SyncThe Samsung Sync is is a nice functional cell phone for someone who is looking for something sleek and durable. It’s nothing flashy but offers great functionality. This cell phone review was pretty easy to write as this cellular phone isn’t super complicated.

One feature that I actually look for in a cell phone is a camera phone feature. This phone has a built in 2 megapixel camera which is pretty high quality. Some people think of camera phones are just one needless feature to pump up the price, but it’s nice to have around to capture life’s special moments. The phone also functions well as a MP3 player, which isn’t a feature I look for, but I could see someone wanting. It’s nie to be able to use your own original cell phone ring tones I suppose. Nokia E61

Nokia e61

The Nokia e61 is a quality smartphone by one of the most advanced cellular companies on the market. The Nokia e61 combines power with functionality, certainly rivaling many phones of the Blackberry line. Generally with smart phones you’re faced with a trade off, but this phones is a solid all around choice.

It gives a surprisingly strong cell signal, which is an area that some phones built to really be a mobile office struggle. As you can see I’m impressed making is one of my better cellular reviews. One thing that probably adds to the apparent signal quality is the sound quality of the phone. It really is noticeable between this phone and some other models. For a great cell phone like this it’s really too bad that the speaker phone feature sucks. Continue reading →

Motorola Moto Q9h

Motorola Q9

The Motorola Moto Q9h is a top of the line cell phone PDA combination. This cellular phone is defiantly a techies dream and is packed with features.

The biggest advantage that the Moto Q9h has over it’s competition is that it is integrated with the Windows platform.  Keep that fact in mind when comparing to other cellular telephone reviews. I personally use a Mac but still I could see how this would be a huge advantage. The phone gets download speeds of up to 3.6mbs which is pretty danm fast for something that can fit in the palm of your hand. Continue reading →
